What's Your Purpose?

Here is a question that I get fairly routinely from my clients.  They would like to know about their purpose here on the planet during their current lifetime.  There seems to be a misconception that one is here to fulfill some big earth changing mission, and on top of that, one may be sabotaged or stopped from fulfilling that mission.  Certainly, there are those whose mission is to bring in and foster an energy template that will change some aspect of earthly life, but those are few and far between.  There can also be a general sense that one is destined for something bigger that what is manifesting for them, but they just can’t grasp what that might be.  “If I can only get that information on what I am really meant to do here, my life would be a whole lot better!”  Does that sound familiar?

I would like to assure all of you that you are indeed manifesting your purpose here on Earth.  The difficult part of this is that your purpose and plan for this lifetime was co-created with your Higher Self, and exists beyond the veil of forgetting that dropped down behind you when you embodied physicality at birth.  I would put this in the realm of knowing your shadow, which can only be done indirectly.  You might have intuitions and inklings, but it’s not like a big booming voice will yell in your ear “You will be the president of the United States some day!”

The shadow can only be known indirectly through mirroring, projections, dreams, signs, serendipitous events, chance meetings, or opportunities presented.  Of course, none of these are accidental occurrences!  They are all orchestrated by your higher aspects to keep you on track.  The key is to pay attention and act on whatever shows up in an appropriate manner.  I tell my clients that they know they are in their groove when life flows along in a natural way more often than not.  Not that distressing events will not happen, but the ideal is to honor and acknowledge these events as opportunities for growth.  Use the tools that you have and move through them.  Speaking of tools, that is the purpose of my workshops with Rise Multiversity entitled “Tools for Transition”.  Every event can be mined for the “gold” if you have the right tools!

So I encourage you not to stress about what your purpose or mission here may be.  You may be here to enjoy the company of a dear friend once again before you both exit this 4th dimensional world.  What about dealing with a life threatening medical condition?  Talk about the gold to be mined from that one.  On a bigger scale, what about touching everyone that you meet with your own particular spiritual essence?  Imagine the joy at seeing people smile when they meet you.  These are some examples of simple but wonderfully powerful purposes for your being here.  Remember, life is a process without a goal.  As soon as you think you’ve got it, your next step will be revealed to you.  And on and on you go.

Get used to going through your day putting one foot in front of the next, step by step, but being awake, aware and present all the while so that no opportunity in missed. Observe and see what shows up for you in any given moment.   Act on those opportunities from a place of clarity and healing, and in a way that is appropriate for you and your path.  Act with integrity, autonomy, independence, freedom and sovereignty.  Most importantly, pay attention!  By simplifying your life, you will not be so distracted that the brief flash of an opportunity will not go unnoticed.  By doing this, your purpose will be revealed to you and you will start to flow along in your groove.
